(STORM WATCH AMERICA) ATLANTA GA
SUNDAY APRIL 27TH 2014

A outbreak of severe weather is expected across a good chunk of the US over the next several days including the risk for damaging tornadoes.

[SUNDAY]
On Sunday the greatest risk will be across the central and southern plains where the Storm Prediction Center has placed much of that area under a “Slight Risk” for severe with an embedded “Moderate Risk” in the middle. Strong tornadoes will likely be sweeping across the southern plains and moving towards the mid south by late evening. The other main threats include; damaging winds, flooding, and large hail.

[MONDAY]
On Monday the threat for severe weather continues as a very slow moving upper level low and cold front moves east. Severe weather including the threat for strong tornadoes will continue into the mid south and southeast by late evening. Flooding will become an issue as 3 to 5″ of rain is expected in this area.

[TUESDAY]
Severe weather will continue into Tuesday across the Southeast US with the threat for damaging winds, large hail, flooding, and a threat for more tornadoes. The greatest threat for tornadoes on Tuesday is across AL, but could also occur in TN , east MS, and GA.

[WEDNESDAY]
Threat for severe weather will continue into early Wednesday across the southeast before moving towards the coast later in the day. Portions of the NE US could also see some severe weather and maybe an isolated tornado but that threat should be low by that time.
