#BREAKING #TORNADO THREAT INCREASING OVERNIGHT INTO SUN #ATLANTA SOUTH. #gawx

The threat for Severe Weather and isolated Tornadoes appears to now be increasing overnight into Sunday as a warm front may move as far north as the south Metro Atlanta area. Meanwhile on Sunday, a strong cold front will move into and across the southeast and Georgia producing more Severe including Isolated Tornadoes, damaging winds and hail the main threats.

At the time of this posting, new Tornado Watches were being posted for portions of the southeast gulf coast states.

[IMPACTS: ATLANTA SOUTH]

DAMAGING WINDS : 60%
LARGE HAIL : 50%
ISOLATED TORNADO : 30%
FLOODING : 20%

[TIMING: ATLANTA SOUTH METRO INTO CENTRAL GA]

Anytime after 2am tonight into 2pm Sunday afternoon as at least 2 waves of storms moves into and across the state. One from the warm front and another from the cold front later in the morning.

It appears at this time that areas North of Atlanta may be spared Severe Weather at this time due to a wedge setup in that area, however, strong storms may still be possible so stay tuned statewide.

The GREATEST RISK i see at this time for Tornadoes in the state of Georgia over the next 12/24 hours appears to be in Southwest GA. But ALL residents of Georgia should stay with us all night and into Sunday for the very latest on this developing weather situation.
